Students at Pinewood enjoyed participating in Global School Play Day this week! Classes participated by allowing students to bring in their own toys, or have extra time with classroom toys and games! Teachers kicked off this awesome idea and special day by having play time at their staff meeting!
Second graders created a list of animal and plant adaptations after marking their ideas in their nonfiction books. Reading nonfiction is fun and informative. What a win-win!
First graders from Mrs. DeLeeuw’s reading class and 5th graders from Ms. Magro’s reading class combined forces today to recreate the reader’s theater Polar Express. By partnering together the students were able to work through the reading strategies they have been learning in class to create a spectacular reader’s theater!
