This week students in Mrs. Palmer’s 1st grade class were practicing mindfulness by thinking of times when they can take a big deep breath and let it out, or in other words, “cool their cocoa”, when they are frustrated. They combined a #benice activity with a mindfulness activity and came up with some great ideas of how to be mindful and nice!
I will cool down my cocoa when my dog scratches me.
I will cool down my cocoa when my sister is mean to me.
I will cool down my cocoa when I am mad at my brother.
