As We Approach The Start of The School Year….
As we start to approach the start of the school year I will add a section to the beginning of each weekly blog post with helpful information for back to school. My goal is that this will prevent having one back to school newsletter that is overwhelming. If you take just a few minutes each week this information will be helpful to you and your children as we prepare for our first day of school on Tuesday August 28, 2018.
Supply List:
Building Calendar and Daily Schedule
You can find our interactive calendar on our webpage, this is updated throughout the year and will keep you informed with all school wide events. Also on this page you will find our daily building schedule with start, end, and lunch times. Please just scroll down a bit on this link and you will find those helpful resources.
Building Tour
A wonderful group of students and staff created this great video a couple of years ago giving a tour of the building. Many students have found it helpful to watch as they start to prepare for the return to school, especially incoming kindergarten students and new students.
Student Summer Reading
Each week this summer I have shared information on reading and how important it is for students to continue to read throughout the summer. I just want to take a moment to thank all of the parents that continue to make reading a priority for their child, not only will it help them as they return to school this year, but it provides countless benefits for their future beyond Pinewood. As a mom I know summer reading is not easy to fit in, please know your effort is appreciated!!! Don’t forget you can go to the Pinewood Library for new books every Thursday between 4pm-6pm.
