Solids, Liquids, and Gases!

Mrs. Palmer’s first graders experimented with baking soda (the solid), vinegar (the liquid) and created carbon dioxide (the gas)! This was a great activity and something fairly easy you are encouraged to do at home. Pour some vinegar (about 1/4 cup into a bottle, spoon in a tablespoon or more of baking soda into a balloon. Carefully place the balloon over the top of the water bottle. Hold up the balloon to allow all of the baking soda to react with the vinegar and WATCH WHAT HAPPENS!!
