Test Like a Pirate Days at Pinewood

This year the Michigan Assessment for all 3rd through 8th grade students has changed from a paper and pencil MEAP to a new computer assessment called the M-Step.  Our students use technology often during class and complete online benchmark assessments through Discovery Education, so we are confident they will do great.  But we also wanted to have some fun practicing and preparing them for the M-Step.  On Monday March 31, 2015 our 3rd-6th grade students were able to select the classes they were interested in attending and all were fun and engaging activities to get them ready and excited for the M-Step.  We didn’t want our lower elementary students to feel left out so they had their Pirate Day on Thursday April 2.  Students did activities from coding animations to creating mummies and all had a great day.
