The 5th graders had a great day seeing economy in the real world at Woodland Mall! In the morning, students visited Gap, Barnes and Noble, H&M, and JCPenney. A highlight of the trip was definitely eating lunch in the food court. The afternoon time gave kids the opportunity to visit stores of their choice, while looking for examples of some of our economy terms. Thank you to all of the parents who were able to chaperone this trip! It was a great experience for everyone!
Pinewood students have been busy setting goals for their winter benchmark assessments. Many of our students have already met their winter goals and have now set new ones for spring. As part of the process, students wrote their goals down and posted them in their lockers, on their desks, or on the large bulletin board display near the gym. As a staff, we couldn’t be more proud of our amazing Pinewood students. We look forward to re-evaluating our spring DIBELS and Discovery Ed. goals! Keep up the good work Pinewood!
What a wonderful evening last night! Thank you to all of the families who came out to spend time together, have fun, and raise funds for atcp.org Also an extra special thank you to every staff member and volunteer. Our staff donated their time playing, dancing, selling concessions, taking tickets, cleaning up, and I so appreciate it. Also special thanks to our announcers Eric Zane and Brian Gray, to our referees Superintendent Tom TenBrink and high school principal Dr. Brandon Graham, and to our score keepers Mr. and Mrs. Tchosweski. Our Hoops for Livi game was a huge success. Every year I enjoy this game and seeing our students have fun, but this year we had so many students on the floor dancing and participating it was great to see. I hope everyone enjoyed it and would love to hear from you highlights, favorites, or even suggestions. Students and parents please feel free to leave comments; this night is for our Pinewood families and community we would love to hear your thoughts.
